The Human Bean

Area Construction Group recently completed the site work and pad preparations for the new modular building of The Human Bean, a popular coffee shop chain, ensuring a smooth setup for the establishment’s new location.

The project began with comprehensive site work, which included clearing the land, grading the area, and ensuring proper drainage for the new structure. Area Construction Group then prepared a solid foundation, pouring a concrete pad to provide a stable base for the modular coffee shop building.

The team also handled the necessary utility connections, including water, power, and sewer, ensuring that everything was in place for the building’s installation. With attention to detail and a focus on precision, Area Construction Group completed the pad site preparation efficiently and on schedule.

Now, with the site ready to receive the new modular building, The Human Bean is set to bring its high-quality coffee and friendly service to the community in a brand-new location.

Area Construction Group recently completed a full bathroom renovation at Aspen View Center, upgrading the space with modern features and improved functionality.

The renovation began with the demolition of the existing bathroom, followed by the installation of custom laminate millwork for the new sinks. New, efficient toilets were added, along with fresh wall and floor tiles for a clean, contemporary look.

To enhance privacy and accessibility, new bathroom partitions were installed. The team also swapped out the old lighting for energy-efficient LED lights and updated the ceiling grid and tiles, giving the space a polished finish.

“They were able to make changes efficiently when needed and the success to each project was the ability to communicate effectively throughout the entire process.”

– James L. Speros, Chairman & CEO, The Velocity Restaurant & Hospitality Group

Upon completion, the vibrant and top quality interior of this restaurant showcases itself as another polished gem in Area Construction Group’s portfolio of Build-outs. This was a fun project for ACG and we thoroughly enjoyed working with Jim Speros and the Velocity Restaurant and Hospitality Group. Here’s what CEO Jim Speros had to say about working with ACG:

“I would personally like to share my experience from working with Area Construction.

Over the past two years I have been involved with Area Construction in two significant restaurant construction projects – one in Fairfax, VA and one in Haymarket, VA. I found my experiences with them to be very rewarding.
They led and navigated us through all of the phases of construction which included budgets, scheduling, permits and construction.

They were able to make changes efficiently when needed and the success to each project was the ability to communicate effectively throughout the entire process.
In the restaurant business there are a lot of moving pieces. They worked tirelessly to meet all deadlines and keep the project moving in a timely manner to completion.
I would highly recommend Area Construction for any construction project – whether large or small.“
