The importance of mental health cannot be overstated, and that’s why Area Construction Group was proud to be awarded the buildout for George Mason University’s Center for Community Health. Located on the 4th floor of 9900 Main St in the Fairfax Square Professional Center, CCMH provides evidence-based, accessible, affordable and culturally sensitive therapy and testing services to our Northern Virginia community.
This was a large scale buildout for us, as suite 400 spans the entire 4th floor of the 9900 Main St building. We were committed to working diligently with all parties involved, from the building ownership Van Metre Investments, Interplan Inc. the architects, and the client George Mason University.
Relying on our adept project management, we maintained adherence to the strict timelines of the project during the Summer of 2023, while simultaneously prioritizing safety and quality craftsmanship in all trades involved. As the buildout progressed, it was crucially important to facilitate clear communication channels and proactive problem solving between our technicians and subcontractors.
Through our construction management expertise we were able to address all the complexities and unexpected challenges that arose during this project. Thanks to this, the CCMH emerged as a beacon of support and healing, providing a nurturing environment for individuals seeking mental health services within the surrounding area.
